Transform your home in time for Christmas
Leading fabric company Designers Guild have come up with four design tips to transform your home in time for Christmas:
1 Use colours you love to update your room
Green is a great colour for novices in that it works as a neutral tone as it is the shade of nature.
2 Look at your house and how you live in it
Whether you are decorating one room or the whole house, take time to look at the way light moves round the space, the architecture and how you will actually use the room. Decorating is setting the scene for the way you want to live.
3 Don’t underestimate the importance of scent

4 Be Bold with pattern
Use black and white with colour. Stripes and checks make great intermediate patterns and look good mixed in with bolder floral patterns in the same colours
Remember – the age and appearance of a building should not dictate its interior style but the lifestyle to be lived there.
