The Studio

Our philosophy is to provide the best quality product at affordable prices with great personal service. We have built our reputation over 28 years, with flair in design, attention to detail and high quality service tailored to the individual requirements of our clients.

Our showrooms - an elegant 18th century town house - showcase the exciting new trends in fabrics and wallpapers. Customers are welcome to browse amongst the latest collection of fabrics and wallpapers. Expert advice is always on hand and we offer a free design and consultancy service, for made to measure, bespoke curtains and blinds.

How do we work?

• We will arrange a free visit to your property to assess your requirements. We will measure and discuss design and fabric options, types of tracks, poles and fittings. Once you have chosen your fabrics, we will send you a detailed estimate. As soon as it is agreed, work will begin.
• We have a fully trained professional installation team fitting curtains and blinds throughout Hertfordshire, Essex, London and occasionally further afield.

Peter & Susan Brown also offer a full range of quality blinds, suitable for the home or the office and have great experience in electrical and remote control systems for both blinds and curtains.

Our re-upholstery service will rejuvenate your furniture, returning it to a pristine condition with new fillings and covers. It is surprising how little furniture is beyond redemption.

The Shop

In parallel with the studio, the shop carries an ever changing range of lighting, cushions, rugs, glassware accessories - there is plenty here to tempt and inspire, and to add that little extra touch that every home requires. We have the reputation for having the exquisite, unusual, perfect ‘objet’ – but do please come and see for your self.

For pure indulgence we also carry a hand picked selection of jewellery and scarves (well they are textiles!) and other fashion accessories for you or as the perfect gift. These accessories add the finishing touch to any outfit, creating combinations with a wealth of diversity.
